We were invited to a birthday party on Saturday evening, and the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. I didn’t even know Calgary had an indoor beach! It’s a fantastic spot with soft sands, three beach volleyball courts, and a play area for kids.
The Beach YYC, is such a cool space. The only place in Calgary to do beach sports, even in the winter. So many cool programs for all ages. Be sure to check it out.
It's an excellent place to have the kid's birthday party. It's fun for them to play in the sand, the staff it's friendly, and they have activities for the kids. Also suitable for playing sand volleyball indoors. There's no water. It's only a giant sandbox. Recommended.
This has been a great place to play! Playing in one of the leagues, and the drop-in times too. Great to have a little dose of summery vibes. And the people are nice too.
Calgary is lucky to be one of the very few cities with an indoor beach! They have events and leagues for every level, and they are licensed with a great booze selection!
2025 update: I put my kid in their daycamps and he loved it so much I signed him up for two more days. 10/10
This place is great. It's a warehouse full of sand!! I'm so glad this place exists. I have so much fun here. 🙂
